Silvia Plaza
I’m Silvia (They/She/He), an AuDHD queer therapist.
I live and work in Dublin at Violet Psychology, but I’m originally from a very small town in Spain that I never quite liked—I always felt like a foreigner in my own city. Like many autistic folks, I dove into Psychology to try to understand the mystery of social cues and how to navigate a neurotypical world—especially before I knew I was neurodivergent myself!
Over time, I’ve turned my hyperfocus into a career, centering my work around the things I’m most passionate about: gender, LGBTQIA+, and neurodiversity. My work is rooted in transfeminism and intersectionality, with a focus on social justice.
Autism remains an ongoing special interest of mine, but I’ve got plenty more that change from time to time. Some current ones: Paul Preciado’s work, animals, and constantly redecorating (thanks to that ADHD urge to move everything around every five minutes).
